A Cuboid Among Spheres

This is a piece of rant art, though its message is obscured with simple shapes and abstracts.
I'm actually getting a little tired of drawing animumango style again over and over and over ad nauseum and felt that a change of pace would be nice. Don't worry, I'm not abandoning the style anytime soon, but 5 years of drawing the same things can take a toll on you, yeah? Besides, I can't fall asleep so might as well make it productive. Painting this digitally took me like 30 mins lol

I've been trying to consciously build up a certain image online - an overly-polished, happy, joyful image, as a form of compensation for the lack thereof in my life. I try to keep things professional, treating my profiles as a portfolio. But I have pixiv now, and that pixiv profile can take the role of portfolio. This means that my DA would host other work I deem "unprofessional," rant works, self-expression and whatnot.

As I am anonymous over the internet, I can let loose all the emotions bottled inside and not have them traced back to me offline 'w')/

I guess this, and subsequently similar pieces, can be seen as a digital time capsule where I write down my most intimate thoughts and feelings for my future self to read, probably to cringe and laugh over, but most importantly, track myself over the years. I am my most dedicated psychiatrist, after all. Haha.

A dull, gray, uninteresting cuboid stands under a spotlight,.

It doesn't have a match, it is alone, singular, and will never be able to fit in with the other shapes. No shape can understand this cuboid.
In the odd chance of a cone, one that isn't a sphere, a match could never be made regardless, and try as this cuboid may, they will never be able to relate to each other.
It never wanted to be unique, to be different is a curse, its four corners a stark reminder that it can never be a sphere.
Trapped by its own skin, its thoughts are confined within itself, where it will remain within these six walls.
